At 11:30 a.m. on February 15, 2022 at the Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center in Dothan, AL, Mayor Mark Saliba held his first Black History Month Luncheon.  Members of the Wiregrass Pan-Hellenic Council and the Divine Nine represented at the Mayors Black History Luncheon.  Guest speaker was Senator Kirk Hatcher.  In attendance was many of the Wiregrass Area’s Community Leaders and young future leaders from various churches and organizations.  The Mayor welcomed everyone and thanked them for coming out.  Pastor Lawrence led with a prayer and then Mayor Saliba introduced the Speaker for the day.

Senator Kirk Hatcher was spot on with many of his remarks and comments.  He touched on leadership, making a difference, education, and much more.  Everyone agreed this was a wonderful event for Black History Month and that it was nice for us to come together at such a wonderful occasion.
