At 2:00 p.m. on February 26, 2023 at Johns Chapel A.M.C. Church in Enterprise, members of the Divine nine attended the first program spotlighting the Divine Nine and the Pan-Hellenic Council. The Theme was “Meeting the Challenges of Our Communities.” The guest preacher was Rev. Darryl Roberts, Pastor of Greater Beulah Missionary Baptist Church and Member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Members of the Wiregrass Pan-Hellenic Council and the Divine Nine represented well.
The message was from Psalm 133:1 “How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!” The key word being UNITY. Pastor Roberts spoke about how the Divine nine was formed and how its purpose revolved around Unity and accomplishing things together. He also touched on the word “brothers” and said that it was meant for more than just men to come together, but also for men and women to come together in UNITY. Pastor White and his members let us know that this was not going to be a onetime event and that they plan to have this on a yearly basis and that we are invited to attend each year.
